Background

I was born in Tahlequah and raised in the Barber community south of Tahlequah. My parents are Katie Mahaney and the late Clyde Mahaney. I attended Tenkiller elementary and graduated from Tahlequah high school in 1982. I attended Northeastern State University, and then decided on a career in law enforcement. My first employment as a patrolman was in Stilwell in 1986. I gained employment at a patrolman in Tahlequah in 1988. My wife Autumn is employed at Northeastern State University in the Speech, Language and' Hearing Department. We have been married for over nine years; Autumn has two daughters, and we now have two grandsons to enjoy.
