As your Police Chief I will:
Address the prevalence of drugs in Tahlequah's neighborhoods and Schools. Ensure that all of our police officers are trained, educated and equipped to meet the dramatic increase of violent crimes in the community. Work cooperatively with other law enforcement agencies to enhance the capabilities to make speedier recoveries, arrest 
and prosecutions. Vigorously search for grants to support programs that benefit our community such as
Clay graduated from Tahlequah high school in 1982, attended Northeastern State University, and then decided on a career in law enforcement. Clay's first
employment as a patrolman was in Stilwell in 1986. He gained employment as a patrolman in Tahlequah in 1988, and has faithfully served the citizens thereafter. Clay's enjoyments include: spending time with family and friends, his job,
being a cattleman, and when time permits fishing and hunting. He is of the Baptist faith.
